Community Guidelines

Introduction

DealHabibi is a community for sharing deals in the UAE. These guidelines ensure a safe, respectful, and helpful environment for everyone. By using the platform, you agree to follow these guidelines.

Deal Posting Rules

• Post genuine deals only: Only share deals that offer real discounts and genuine value.
• Include prices: Include the original price and sale price when possible so the community can judge the value.
• No self-promotion: Do not post your own business promotions. DealHabibi is a community, not a marketplace.
• No affiliate or referral links: Do not insert your own affiliate or referral links. DealHabibi handles affiliate links to fund the platform.
• No expired deals: Do not knowingly post deals that have already expired.
• UAE availability: Deals must be available to UAE residents.
• No duplicates: Search before posting to avoid duplicates. If you find a better version of an existing deal, add it as a comment instead.
• Be accurate: Include the correct price, retailer, voucher code, and expiry date. Double-check links before posting.

Commenting Rules

• Be respectful: Treat other community members with respect, even when you disagree.
• Constructive feedback is welcome: Comments like "this was cheaper last week" or "I found a better deal elsewhere" are helpful and encouraged.
• No personal attacks: No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks of any kind.
• No spam: No advertising, spam, or irrelevant links in comments.

Prohibited Content (UAE Law Compliance)

In accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34/2021 on Combatting Rumours and Cybercrimes, the following content is strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately:

• Content that insults religions, religious figures, or religious practices
• Content that threatens public order or state security
• Defamatory or slanderous content
• Content that promotes illegal activities
• Sexually explicit or inappropriate content
• Content that violates the privacy of others
• Deals involving counterfeit or illegally obtained goods
• Scams or phishing links

Voting Guidelines

• Vote on deal quality: Vote based on the quality and value of the deal, not personal feelings about the user who posted it.
• No multiple accounts: Do not create multiple accounts to manipulate votes.
• No coordinated voting: Do not coordinate votes with other users to artificially boost or sink deals.

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines are handled with a tiered system:

• Tier 1 — Warning: First minor offense results in a warning.
• Tier 2 — 7-day suspension: Repeated minor offenses or a first major offense.
• Tier 3 — 30-day suspension: Repeated offenses after prior warnings or suspensions.
• Tier 4 — Permanent ban: Severe violations or posting illegal content.

DealHabibi reserves the right to remove content and ban users at its discretion to comply with UAE law.

Reporting

If you see a deal or comment that violates these guidelines, please use the report button on the deal or comment. Reports are reviewed by moderators. Valid reasons to report include expired deals, spam, misleading information, inappropriate content, and any of the prohibited content listed above.
